Show of Pride
NewsChannel 3, WGNT CW27 the Navy League of Hampton Roads and GSS Gear have joined forces to launch the first Show of Pride to honor, salute and celebrate our military in Hampton Roads. As home to the largest military presence in the world, The Hampton Roads area plays a vital role in the security of our nation, like no other market in the country. These everyday heroes protect and serve our nation and our way of life.. The event will bring the public and military together to learn from each other, to celebrate our unique market, to have fun and to pay homage to our service members both here and abroad-a new breed of warrior. All area commands in Hampton Roads have been invited to participate. The event will feature a career fair for transitioning military and a special military marketplace section featuring businesses with special offers and programs specifically for the military.

U.S. Coast Guard Small boat cutter Coast Guard efforts on oil spill Weapons simulation program featuring split second decisions Anti-terrorism weapons demonstration Outside helicopter demonstration of fast rope ship boarding Save our ship demonstration of when pipes burst onboard

U.S. Marine Corps An Osprey flying craft Robotics Weapons demonstrations

U.S Navy NECC (Navy Expeditionary Combat Command) Riverine boat display with Patrol Boat, Assault Boat and 2 other boats

EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) Dive Tank MU2 bomb dogs

Other commands committed: USFFC (US Fleet Forces Command) USJFC (US Joint Forces Command) AIRLANT SURFLANT SUBLANT CYBERFORCE
