A Virginia Beach police officer is no longer appealing his drunk driving conviction.
Brian Womble was convicted in September of drunk driving and hit and run, and was sentenced to five days in jail.
Before hitting another car while driving drunk, Womble was one of the city's top DUI officers. He is still a police officer, but is not on the streets.
