Dozens of stolen firearms are on the street of two North Carolina counties. Pasquotank and Perquimans county sheriffs tell NewsChannel 3 that several homes were burglarized in the last two weeks.

Dwayne Miller says crooks broke into his rural, Pasquotank County home and stole several guns among other things.

"They stole a large coin collection that dated back to the early 1800's that were passed down to me from my great granddaddy and my other grandfather," Miller says.

Dwayne says he came home in the afternoon and noticed his garage door was propped open... When he went inside, he saw a big mess.

The thieves shattered everything, taking electronics, money and even cleaning supplies. But Miller is not the only victim, the thieves are targeting homes with guns.

Police say in total, the thieves took thousands of dollars, jewelry, electronics and 27 guns.

Pasquotank and Perquimans County sheriff department are investigating to see if these robberies are linked.

As police search for clues, this victim hopes the culprits come forward.
