NORFOLK - Today at 1:25 p.m. Virginia Port Authority police officers responded to an accident involving a light pole and small car at the north berth
of NIT. Upon arrival, police officers removed the car's occupant from the vehicle and began administering CPR. The city of Norfolk Fire and Rescue
services were also called to the scene.
The male victim was pronounced dead on the scene by Norfolk Fire and Rescue. His name is not being released until the family has been notified. The Occupational Health and Safety Administration has been notified.
