"I was in the living room watching NewsChannel 3 all day, and when I saw that picture, I cried."

The picture Barbara Duff saw was the Lynnhaven Fishing Pier, collapsing under the pressure of this November nor'easter.

Duff owns the Virginia Beach Landmark, built by her father and four of his partners in 1956.

"I could remember being a little girl and through the years there was Ursa, Hazel, others, and my parents would sit and watch the pier," Duff Said.

"You always think about it, but wasn't expecting this to be this bad. But being beat for four days straight - you don't stand a chance."

Duff says she plans on rebuilding.

It will cost about $200,000------a small price to pay when you consider how much the pier means, not only to her, but everyone else too.

Duff added,"Grandfathers brought grandchildren, a lot of people's fathers brought them out here, they bring their kids. I'll put it back. As long as we can borrow money, we'll put it back."
