Pictures taken from a surveillance camera give you a good view of the two guys who came in to the Chanello's Pizza on Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake early Saturday morning. What they did next is hard to believe. The man in the striped shirt took a swing at a delivery driver, who is wearing a black t-shirt. He broke the driver's eye socket, jaw, and damaged his ear. His wife, Joy, who does not want us to use her last name or her husband's name, told us the last few days have been a nightmare, saying, "It's been really scary. I've always worried about him delivering maybe he would get robbed but I never thought he would get attacked in the store.
Police say the two attackers had been drinking at a bar a few doors away from the pizza place. After beating the driver, police say the men took off. The victim's aunt, Sandy Stutz, says her nephew just wants to support his family, that's why he took the job in the first place.
"They just took their aggression out on my nephew and they just beat him for no reason. For no reason at all. I'm just thankful he was not hurt severely, it could have been terrible."
NewsChannel 3 showed Sandy Stutz the surveillance pictures police gave us, and she had harsh words for the attackers.
"To me that's a coward. They took the cowards way out. So there again they were drunk, would they have done it had they been sober?"
The suspect in the striped shirt is described as a white male, 5'9", between the of ages 23-25 with blond hair. The second suspect is a white male, between 5'3-5'5" and between the ages of 23-25 with brown hair.
Police are asking anyone who can identify the two men to call the Crimeline at 1-888-Lock-U-Up.
