Man robs Wachovia Bank in Portsmouth
Portsmouth police have charged a 49-year-old man in the robbery of a Portsmouth Wachovia. Ward Errol Isenburg, Jr., of the 4900 block of Marina Dr. in Suffolk, has been charged with two counts of robbery and one count of entering bank armed with intent to commit robbery. Isenburg is presently in the Portsmouth City Jail on these charges.

The robbery occurred at approximately 10:38 a.m. this morning at the Wachovia Bank in the 5800 block of High St. West.

According to bank officials, Isenburg entered the bank and approached the teller, pulled out a knife, and demanded money. He left the bank on foot with an unknown amount of money.

No injuries were reported.
