After a long road these pups are ready to find new homes.

They are among the 300 hundred dogs rescued from a puppy mill in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The Norfolk SPCA says the dogs were cooped up in small pens, wire crates and kennels and some even living in their own waste.

Earlier this week, a team of volunteers traveled to Pennsylvania to pick them up and get them ready for their new families.

For the past couple of days these designer poodles have been in rehabilitation mode: check up with vets, vaccinations, and even some pampering from volunteers.

Today the first round of poodles will be going home with their new parents and beginning of a new life: which the SPCA says is what it's all about.
