"He did well for his family and he did well for his team-mates and pals, and he's gonna be missed."

There are many memories tonight in the home of retired SEAL Dave LaConte.

Jake Jaquith, who's also a retired seal, will share a few words at his dear friend's funeral, focusing on happier times.

"He had this smile on his face like he was always getting his hand caught in the cookie jar, and had this devilish smile and a sparkle in his eye."

He will also stress that his friend, who loved his family, loved life and truly loved his country.

"I'd like people to know he was a patriot, he was a teacher, he was a servant. And he was very generous, he was a giver and every quality that a man should be Dave had all those qualities," Jaquith said.

Dave leaves behind a wife, a daughter, and a son.
