In the Berkshire Meadows neighborhood in Suffolk, the damage from last night's storm goes from minor to major. From sidings torn off, to an entire chimney ripped apart.

Chris Simonsen had a little bit of both. His house had very little damage, but his backyard was another story.

Tree limbs snapped in half, his storage shed leveled to the ground, and the only thing left standing: the family's portable pool.

Simonsen adds, ""it is what it is, thankfully no one was hurt, and my pets they survived."

But, he still considers himself one of the lucky ones.

The storm's powerful winds: took a beating on the trees, literally lifting the roots off of this one, and snapping a couple in half.

Thea Cromwell says, she's never had to clean up after a storm. But, this time, she could tell this was going to be different.

Cromwell adds, "it was very rainy, it was hailing, trees were blowing everywhere. Siding was blowing all over."

And she was right. The storm also knocked out her dish. It not only took out her TV, but also her phone line.

Cromwell adds, "yes, I had to take off work today to try and get things taken care of so I can get back to normal."

And Cromwell says this storm has taught her a lesson; as soon as this clean up is finished, she'll start preparing for the next one before it sneaks up on her.
