What do you think about V-DOT's proposal to cut funding to Hampton Roads for the next six years?

  • This is a different subject, At this time of the year Please DO NOT put cash in your cards as they stand a VERY good chance of NEVER arriving. Or arrive opened & the money gone. I have experince as 3 recent cards did not arrived & cash was GONE!

  • Raise hell with your state representative. If they don't get anything for the area they are supposed to represent, I say it is their fault.

  • As long as the criminals remain in our city councils we are going to pay the bill, let cut the pay of these criminals first or vote them out.

  • It's not like this hasn't been happening to Hampton Roads for years. Richmond and Northern Virginia will always come first. This despite the fact Hampton Roads is a major port. If the lords of the 7 "fiefdoms" would work together on this, Richmond might suddenly loosen their purse strings.

  • I am also in favor of Corporate Sponsorship. Lease of section of interstate and let the leasee advertise the heck out of there company on that section in return for keeping up that section of the highway and contributing toward a statewide fund.

  • Tolls or tax Either way we have to pay for services if we want. I would rather have tolls, and pay for what i us.

  • What happened to the stimulus money for highways, lets put that money to work to get the projects done and roads repaired... Where is our Governor when we need him?

  • Gilmore was elected by promising to eliminate the pers. property tax and road money evaporated. Deeds was honest about having to raise gas taxes in order to get our roads back in good order and to improve traffic. It is unbelieveable that so many people in Va think we can get better roads for free.
