VIRGINIA BEACH - Michael Vick wants to put the shooting outside his birthday party in Virginia Beach last month behind him.

He further admits that his public birthday party was a bad idea and he should have listened to his mother and kept it private.

Yesterday, Vick was cleared by the NFL to attend Eagles training camp in Pennsylvania.

The league has been looking into the June 25th shooting outside his birthday party at Guadalajara's at Virginia Beach Town Center.

Earlier this month, the Commonwealth's Attorney's office said they would not be filing charges in the case because of the lack of cooperation for the victim, Quantis Phillips.

Phillips also happened to be Vick's co-defendant in his federal dog fighting case.

The quarterback now says his focus is on football and he admits that he should have never put himself in a situation where a shooting could happen.

Vick says, "It's always great to be back playing football. I haven't been at training camp for three years so, I look forward to enjoying the moment, to build camaraderie with the guys and just have fun playing football."
