SUFFOLK, Va. - 47-year-old Larry Vespa doesn't remember a lot about October 10th, the day he went to the pharmacy at a Walmart in Suffolk.
But he's been told two quick thinking employees helped save his life.
"I don't know what to say except for that I have another chance and I know that chance has everything to do with helping me," says Larry Vespa.
Helping him after he collapsed from a heart attack right in front of the pharmacy window were a quick thinking pharmacy tech and the pharmacist.
They called 911 and began CPR until crews arrived 8 minutes later.
"I would love to thank them and would love to give them a hug if they want a hug."
"When the paramedics got there they also worked on him and they didn't let go," says his wife Andrecia.
She says her husband doesn't remember much of anything after the fall - even the 11 days he spent at Sentara Heart Hospital.
And what is really hard is remembering the special moments in his life, like his wedding day or their daughter's birthday
And while his memory is slowly coming back, Andrecia Vespa is thankful that her husband is still alive.
Larry will have to take heart medication for the rest of his life, and one day he says he wants to personally thank those who have him a second chance.
