Holiday songs can be heard throughout Christmas Town at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. Hundreds of people packed into the park as the doors opened for the first time during the Christmas season.

"I think the major thing people are going to experience are lights - there are over a million lights throughout the villages at Busch Gardens," said John Reilly, General Manager of Busch Gardens.

There are also all new Christmas shows you can check out.

"We have fantastic shows, a Gregorian Chant style show in Ireland, and a traditional Christmas review called Deck the Halls at the Fest Haus," Reilly added.

For the kids there's the Sesame Street Christmas show, and you'll also see snow at the Ice Palace where you can go through a maze into a winter wonderland.

One of the cool attractions at Christmas Town is to be able to see real live penguins.

"We have penguins here visiting us from our Sea World park in San Antonio."

To stay warm in Christmas Town there are lots of little booths serving hot chocolate and snacks near the gift shops and rides. There are also Christmas treats inside at the restaurants.

"Our culinary team has reworked the menus at all of the restaurants at Busch Gardens. It's a place filled with the spirit of Christmas no matter where you decide to go."
