Chesapeake, Va. – Full overnight closures on the Gilmerton Bridge have officially ended, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The Gilmerton Project Team wrapped up their final nightly full closure on Friday morning. There will still be single lane closures heading southbound, however.
The overnight closures started in 2009 when construction of the new bridge began.
