Norfolk, Va. – Police detectives are working an active homicide investigation after a man was shot and killed on Saturday evening.
Norfolk police responded to the 1700 block of Berkley Avenue for an unresponsive person on December 19 at around 10:45 p.m.
Officials found 54-year-old Marvin Jones suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
No suspect information or motive for Mr. Jones’ death has been released.
This is Norfolk’s 32nd homicide in 2015.
