Newport News, Va. – Newport News police say this week, they’ve responded to an unusually high number of heroin overdoses, one fatal.
On Friday within just a four-hour period, there were four heroin overdoses.
This happened in the North and Central areas of the City.
All of the victims were males ranging from their early 20s to the mid-40s.
A 23-year-old man died.
Police warn that if anyone has purchased heroin within the last 24-48 hours, that it may lead to an overdose or even death.
These incidents are still under investigation.
Police have not said if these incidents are connected.
