ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – A man is in stable condition after being shot early Saturday morning.
Police were called to a shooting behind a 7-Eleven on Hughes Boulevard at 2:14 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found a 30 to 40 people crowded around the victim, 30-year-old Christopher Harrell.
Harrell was lying in the parking lot of the Comfort Inn on 306 S. Hughes Boulevard.
Medics took Harrell to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, where an examination revealed Harrell was shot twice.
Harrell was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for further medical treatment.
There is currently no suspect information.
