Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

Climbing heat and humidity… Enjoy today as it will be the most comfortable of the next week or so. Highs will reach the mid 80s today, just below normal for this time of year. With dew points in the mid 60s to low 70s, it will feel like the upper 80s to near 90. An isolated shower or storm is possible this afternoon as an area of low pressure drifts off of the Carolina coast.

The heat and humidity will return for the weekend. Highs will climb into the low 90s on Friday and mid 90s for both Saturday and Sunday. As the dew point returns to the mid 70s, expect triple digit heat index values again this weekend. A “pop up” shower or storm is possible but overall rain chances will be low. Afternoon heat index values will return to the triple digits to start next week.

Today: Partly Cloudy, Isolated Showers/Storms(20%). Highs in the mid 80s. Winds: NE/E 5-10

Tonight: A Few Clouds. Lows in the low 70s. Winds: SE/SW 5-10

Tomorrow: Mostly Sunny, Warmer. Highs in the low 90s. Winds: SW 5-10
