Richmond, Va. – Team President Bruce Allen announced shortly before noon that former Redskins GM Bobby Beathard would be the 49th inductee into the Ring of Fame.
Beathard joined the Redskins in 1978 as general manager. Along with Joe Gibbs, he guided the team to a 105-63 regular season record, three Super Bowl appearances, and two championships. Known for his uncommon draft startegies, Beathard drafted Art Monk, Joe Jacoby, Darrell Green, and Charles Mann, among others.
The induction will happen during the Homecoming game November 13th vs. the Minnesota Vikings. Beathard also spent time with the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, and Atlanta Falcons in various roles.
