Crews respond to large house fire in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. - Crews responded to a large house fire Monday afternoon.

The fire was at a house in the 4300 block of Kennebeck Ave.

The call came in around 2 p.m., and crews were still on scene around 3 p.m.

Officials said there have been no injuries reported and that the home was not occupied at the time of the fire.

Significant damage was caused to the the two story home. The Red Cross was notified about two adults that were displaced.

There were pets in the home and fire officials don't know how many or what kind of animals.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
