VIRGNIA BEACH, Va. — Three cats died during an apartment fire in Virginia Beach on Wednesday, according to fire officials.
The Virginia Beach Fire Department said it happened around 2 p.m. in the 200 block of Birch Lake Road. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the kitchen of an apartment.
No one was hurt, but a man was displaced.
The cause is under investigation.
