According to Dominion Virginia Power, 283 customers are still without power after a traffic accident caused an outage near Mt. Pleasant Road and Corapeake. A driver struck a utility pole.
The accident happened around 5 a.m. Thursday morning. Those without power will have it restored around noon today, officials say.
Police are on site and will be directing traffic down Back Road as a detour. The road is expected to reopen at 1 p.m. today.
