Suspect wanted for driving through Suffolk Public Works gate

According to police, someone drove through and destroyed a sign and automatic gate at

the Suffolk Department of Public Works Roadway Maintenance and Operations office located at 866 Carolina Road on Tuesday. They say it occurred at 8:45 p.m.

The Suffolk Police Department is asking for help to find the driver. Surveillance video shows a 2001 to 2006 Chrysler Sebring convertible, silver or gray in color.

They say the damages were in excess of $10,000. The vehicle will have front end and side view mirror damage.

It is requested that automotive repair shops or junk yards be on the lookout for a vehicle fitting this description. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. When captured, the suspect will face felony destruction of property charges.
