Shakina Allen faced a judge today through a video conference. She was officially charged with felony hit and run and driving under the influence.
Allen is accused of driving drunk and ramming her car into a Virginia Beach police officer's cruiser, sending him to the hospital.
The crash happened Wednesday morning in the intersection between Virginia Beach Blvd. and First Colonial Road.
Police say the officer was on his way to a call for shots fired at a strip club.
They can't say for sure if he had his sirens and lights on but they say the traffic light was green and he had the right of way.
That officer is still in the hospital under observation for head injuries.
Allen will stay in jail. She is waiting for her bond hearing scheduled for Monday.
