According to police, two people shot each other in the 3300 block of Herbert Street in Norfolk.
Calls came in at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
Crews found a man who was on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim was transported to the hospital. Police say they are waiting to notify the family before they release the names of the victims.
They also say that they are not searching for anyone else.
