Space Shuttle Discovery reaches its final destination

Space Shuttle Discovery landed at its final destination in Washington, D.C. around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The shuttle left Kennedy Space Center Tuesday morning at 7 a.m.

The shuttle will retire at the National Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian.

The shuttle made several loops around the Washington, D.C. area flying past the Washington Monument, National Mall, and the U.S. Capitol building before landing at Dulles International Airport.
