Suffolk fire crews responded to a house fire in the 1800 block of Airport Road on Wednesday at 8:32 a.m.

When they arrived, they said smoke and fire were showing from the home and both occupants of the home were able to get out.

Five kittens were rescued.

The structure is uninhabitable at this time.
