Police say driver fell asleep at the wheel in deadly Route 58 crash

Posted

An update has been released on a deadly crash on Route 58.

Suffolk police say the driver of the SUV that flipped over yesterday, James Normile IV, fell asleep at the wheel.

Normile’s 16-year-old son, also named James, was thrown from the car.

He later died.

But this is not the first time the Normile family has been in the news. They lost their 2-year-old son, Charlie, just last May.

He drowned in their backyard pool.

This afternoon, we do not have any updates on how the family is recovering from yesterday’s crash.
