Public hearing to be held for proposed budget in Suffolk

Posted

A public hearing is set for the new proposed budget.

It outlines big raises for some city leaders.

City manager Selena Cuffee-Glenn released a budget that recommended a 21-percent raise for her.

That would bring her from $151,000 a year to $183,000, which is a higher salary than Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell.

The hearing is set for 7 p.m. tonight at the city council chambers.

NewsChannel 3 will have a crew there and we’ll bring you an update tonight at 11.
