Four teens arrested in robbery attempt of two undercover cops

Posted

Norfolk police say four teens have been arrested for allegedly attempting to rob two undercover Norfolk police officers.

Each teen has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted robbery, and two counts of use of a firearm:

19-year-old Alfredo Rocco Calogero, of the 5700 Block of Trailis Arch, Virginia Beach; 19-year-old Devonte Marquis Davis, of the 1000 Block of Coach Circle, Norfolk; 19-year-old Walter Martin, of the 5500 Block of Campus Drive, Virginia Beach; and 19-year-old Jordan Ceprece Anderson, Stonehaven, Virginia Beach.

The two undercover Norfolk police officers shot at two of the men who tried to rob the officers in their unmarked car.

Norfolk police spokesperson, MPO Chris Amos, says the officers were sitting in their unmarked police car in the parking lot of the McDonald's at Campostella and Indian River Roads Monday night.

He says just before 11:00 p.m., two men walked up to the officers and tried to rob them.  The officers grabbed their guns and opened fire.

One suspect was hit, but is expected to recover in the hospital.  The other suspects ran away.

The undercover officers were not hurt.
