Two former HRT workers learned their punishment today for allegedly stealing money from the agency.
The women admitted that they stole tens of thousands of dollars while on the job.
Latasha Boyd and Karen Watkins each got 10 years in prison for embezzlement.
The judge suspended all of that time except for 60 days for Boyd and 45 days for Watkins.
The women must also pay restitution to Hampton Roads Transit.
In 2009, Boyd and Watkins stole bus and trolley money, mostly in one-dollar increments and deposited it in their personal accounts.
This went on for months before they were caught.
