Later today, the Coast Guard Cutter Sea Horse will return to Portsmouth.
The 12 person crew was on a 33 day deployment as a stand-by search and rescue cutter.
During their patrol, the crew worked as security detail for Vice President Joe Biden's visit to South Carolina on Easter Weekend.
The Sea Horse is expected to return around 10 a.m. Tuesday morning.
