In the fifth inning Longwood's Travis Biddix led off with a single, followed by a walk to Joey Varaksa.
Scott Burkett hit a line drive to ODU shortstop Josh Wright who stepped on second to get Biddix and threw to firstbaseman Austin McGowan to get Varaksa for the third out.
