Norfolk police are actively working with Norfolk Public Schools in investigating a possible abduction.
Officials say a 12-year-old child was riding a school bus in the 1200 block of Norview Avenue this morning when they reported seeing a young, Caucasian girl, approximately elementary school aged, being held against her will in a vehicle he described as a van.
Police are working closely with NPS officials to find the child who is absent or missing today and matches the aforementioned description.
Right now there are no reports of a missing girl fitting this description.
Parents and guardians who have an absent child fitting the description, who can confirm the child’s whereabouts, are encouraged to assist by ensuring this contact with schools.
