Three charged in Suffolk pot-growing operation

Three people have been charged after Suffolk police found a marijuana-growing operation in the 400 block of Vicksburg Road where they discovered over 100 viable marijuana plants capable of producing a total of over 100 pounds of marijuana at full maturity.

Police also found an alcohol still that was in current production, as well as four firearms and related ammunition.

Leslie Vanhoose, 59, is being charged with manufacturing marijuana as well as conspiracy. Justin Carr, 24, is being charged with manufacturing marijuana, conspiracy, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and Johnathan Brown, 24, is being charged with manufacturing marijuana as well as conspiracy.

Police are still investigating this case.
