Three more teens arrested in attack on Virginian-Pilot reporters

Norfolk, Va. – Norfolk Police have identified and charged three more juveniles believed to have been involved in an assault on two Virginian-Pilot reporters on April 14 at the intersection of Brambleton Avenue and Church Street. Two of the youths are 16 years old and the other is 14.

Each of the three juveniles has been charged with: 2 counts  of Simple Assault by Mob and one count of  Participation in a Riot. All three juveniles were released to their parents/guardians pending an arraignment.  The three juveniles are scheduled for an arraignment hearing in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on Monday.

To date, four juveniles have been charged in the assault. Another 16-year-old involved in the incident was arrested and charged with two counts of Simple Assualt by Mob, one count of  Participation in a Riot, and  one count of Vandalism, on May 3.

Norfolk Police continue to investigate the assault incident.
