According to police, the 7-Eleven was robbed in the 3100 block of Churchland Blvd. early Thursday morning.
They say the man went into the store and flashed a handgun to the cashier then proceeded to go behind the counter and take money from the register.
The man ran toward Portsmouth after the robbery.
Police are not sure of the suspect’s age. They say he was wearing all black clothing and is about 5’8″ and 140lbs.
