The Norfolk SPCA’s 30th Annual Dog Walk Fundraiser is this Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
This event brings animal lovers and their dogs together to raise money to help Hampton Roads’ homeless animals.
It is estimated that 56 percent of dogs and 71 percent of cats in shelters are euthanized each year across the United States. By participating in the Norfolk SPCA’s Dog Walk, individuals can help maintain and support the only no-kill shelter in Hampton Roads.
The Norfolk SPCA is celebrating its 120th year dedicated to helping animals in need.
As part of the celebration, Dog Walk is in a new place – at Kaufman Mall on ODU’s campus. There will be entertainment, vendors, games for people and dogs, adoptable pets, and free parking at the event – so come out and join the fun!
