At least seven people were killed after an earthquake struck Northern Italy today.
50 more were hurt.
According to the US Geological Survey, the 6.0 magnitude quake shook the region around 4.am. local time.
Italy’s prime minister has pledged swift help for victims.
The number of people hurt is expected to rise as crews search for survivors in rural areas.
