What once was Tropical Storm Alberto has weakened to a post-tropical cyclone. Alberto is about 170 miles SSE of Hatteras, NC and moving NE at 17 mph.
Winds remain at 35 mph but the system has lost its tropical characteristics. The cyclone is expected to dissipate within the next 36 hours.
