Alberto has weakened to a tropical depression. Alberto is about 220 miles south of Hatteras, NC and moving NE at 15 mph. The northeast movement will continue today, with an increase in forward speed. Winds have decreased to 35 mph and additional weakening is expected today and tomorrow.
Impacts from Alberto will be low. We may see a few outer rain bands from this system along the coast. Some minor tidal flooding is possible, with highs tides running a foot or so above normal.
