The Norfolk Admirals are losing their affiliation with the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning.
An Admirals spokesperson says he is aware of published statements by the Lightning's team vice president.
The Admirals say they expect to announce a new partnership with another NHL team in the coming days.
Of course, today's announcement comes a day after the Admirals celebrated their Calder Cup championship at Scope.
