There was a cool sight at Wallops Island this morning.
A NASA rocket carrying 17 educational experiments was launched.
The experiments were built by university instructors and students from across the country.
The two-stage, terrier-improved Orion suborbital sounding rocket carried the experiments 73 miles into the air then landed in the Atlantic Ocean.
The experiments have been recovered and will be returned to Wallops for analysis.
