Suffolk police are now investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that happened shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday night.
The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Robert Allen Maone of Chesapeake, Virginia.
Police say Maone was traveling southbound on Bridge Road when the motorcycle he was driving struck a vehicle.
Maone sustained severe head injuries and was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was pronounced dead just after 3 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The accident remains under investigation, police say.
