A Connecticut man is accused of having his 11-year-old daughter take an alcohol breath test for him.
The daughter told police her father had her breathe into the ignition interlock system installed in his truck… so he could drive to buy beer.
The girl said she and her eight-year-old brother were both inside the truck. And when her father passed out, she called for help.
Police say the man, Robert Brennan of Durham, appeared intoxicated when they arrived on the scene.
The children were taken into protective custody.
Brennan was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and ignition interlock circumvention. He pleaded not guilty.
