Update: Police say they have now identified the man who was found dead in the 5000 block of Sondej Avenue on July 8th, 2012.
The victim has been identified as 47-year-old Julio Delacruz, a Hispanic man from Brooklyn, NY.
Police say he was last seen alive the morning of July 6th in the 5400 block of Wesleyan Dr. in Virginia Beach.
No cause of death has been determined yet.

Chesapeake, Va. – Chesapeake police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man found dead Sunday night.
At approximately 10:00 PM police responded to reports on an injured person in the 5000 block of Sondej Avenue.
When they arrived, they discovered a black man in his early to mid 40s to early 50s lying on the side of the road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of death has not been determined at this time.
