Cameron Crockett, a Virginia Beach man who fled to Belize after being found guilty of killing his friend, will serve a month in jail for his time on the run.

A judge sentenced him for his failure to appear charge.
Crockett disappeared in March after he was convicted of involuntary manslaughter—driving drunk, slamming into a tree and killing his friend, Jack Korte.
Crockett will be sentenced for that crime next month.
