The Norfolk-based crew of the USS Nicholas just arrived in Mayport, Florida Monday afternoon.
It’s after the crew carried out a major drug bust in the Caribbean.
NewsChannel 3’s Mike Mather is also down in Florida gathering exclusive information on how the drugs were intercepted.
The crew seized more than two tons of cocaine earlier this month.
They worked with the Coast Guard and even the Colombian Navy to intercept a boat carrying the illegal drugs.
It's considered the largest drug bust for this ship since it was commissioned.
