Virginia Beach, Va. - Virginia Beach Public Utilities is currently repairing an 8-inch water main in the 4700 block of Indian River Road between South Independence and Stumpy Lake.
In order to safely make repairs, traffic lanes in both directions will be closed until around noon.
Motorists should expect traffic delays. Motorists may use alternate routes around the area on Lynnhaven Parkway and South Independence Blvd.
Water service to four homes in the area has been restored.
